After the Great Nuclear War of 2150, the nuclear fallout of radioactive strontium-90 starts a wave of mutant births around the world. The only work for these mutants, who are hated and feared by the general public, is to become intergalactic bounty hunters nicknamed “Strontium Dogs”. These bounty hunters provoke fear in fugitives from the law across the galaxy. The most fearsome of them all? Johnny Alpha!

First created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra in 1978, Strontium Dog originally started in 2000 AD’s sister title Starlord, before jumping across to the Prog later that year. Quickly proving to be a firm favourite, Johnny has been a regular feature in 2000 AD ever since!
