The 1985 story ‘The Midnight Surfer’ saw the return of wall-scrawling teen Chopper as a young skysurfing pretender, taking part in Supersurf &, the illegal race saw skysurfers from around the world flying between the towering blocks of Mega-City One in a series of increasingly lethal challenges, all the while being pursued and shot at by the Judges. Only the very best could hope to survive, but out of the carnage would emerge a legend whose name would be chanted in the streets: Chopper!ll.
