Description

Joyride: Big Day Out is an exclusive expansion, with new maps to race through. Just be careful to avoid the local wildlife!

Big Day Out includes 11 tracks across two large maps, new destructible barriers, lava flows, and the mighty Hippaboon, a beast who will roam the board damaging any cars that get too close!

Beast

The Hippaboon jumps from platform to platform, attacking anything that takes a corner too tightly.

Maps

Wonder Zoo – smash through the enclosures while avoiding the mutant beast!
Volcano Island – heat up the race by taking a shortcut through an erupting volcano!

The fastest route to the finish is through everyone else

GRAB YOUR KEYS

Choose a car with unique abilities that change the way you race. Do you want the reliability of Auto-Pilot, the precision of Handbrake Turn or the chaos of Donut?

Manipulate dice on your dashboard, pushing your luck to pull ahead. Will you lock in your results for maximum control, or risk rolling them to gain an extra inch?

Turn order changes every round, starting with the car in the highest gear. Higher gears mean faster speeds and earlier turns but you must use all the dice on you’ve got. Hit a corner too fast and you’re sure to cause a smas

PLAN YOUR LINE

Move from checkpoint to checkpoint across open maps on the double-sided board. Each map comes different track layouts for every player count and skill level.

Checkpoints can be crossed from any direction, so plan a racing line that maximizes your chances, even if it means racing into oncoming traffic.

Smash into your opponents to spin them around or push them out of your way. Sometimes the best racing line is the one that will knock your opponents off-course.

BLOW AWAY THE COMPETITION

Gather powerful items as you race, letting you fire rockets, drop oil slicks and even call in air strikes to damage enemy vehicles. 

Damage permanently blocks part of your dashboard, so think carefully about where you decide to place it. Do you really need two spaces to store items? Maybe it’s better to give up fifth gear?

When you’re running out of options as you battle towards the finish line, you’ll have no-one to blame but yourself.

RACE YOUR WAY

Each game includes a Race Guide with a host of tracks for you to enjoy across every player count and ability level: pick a track, quickly drop in obstacles, items and checkpoints, and you’re ready to roll.

The Race Guide also details the unique abilities and effects of the maps, cars and items in each set. Customise tracks to your liking or design your own, mixing in the cars, maps and items from any Joyride set to create your perfect race.

New or highly competitive players can use the included standard abilities: a highlight reel of three impactful abilities that are identical for every car, putting every driver on an equal footing.
